FINCAS DE AZABACHE TERROIR
Besides climate, altitude, orientation…one of de most important factors that will determine the type of wine is the type of soil where the vineyards that will produce the grapes are planted , what we call terruño or terroir.
Our vineyards extend from the banks of River Ebro to the slopes of Mount Yerga. In our town, Aldeanueva de Ebro, we count with an unique varietal diversity where every vine finds its place.
Smooth ramps and sunny terraces, with soils of pebble and clay; altitude of between 350 and 600 metres; continental with Atlantic and Mediterranean influences climate; cierzo and castellano winds; 400-500 mm low rainfall; 2.300 hours of sun per year and a temperature of about 13,9º C make of this place an incomparable setting for the growth of the vines with grapes of great quality potential, characterised by their intense colour, medium-high gradation and great health.
When we enjoy a bottle of Fincas de Azabache, we taste a great wine and the flavour of the land of its birth.
