We can not understand a D.O.Ca Rioja wine without knowing about the place were it comes from; its beginnings at the vineyard, with the fruit from the vine, till it gets to our tables for its tasting.

The influence of soil, climate, temperature, rainfall, wind or altitude are truly demonstrated, but  in the end,  a wine can not be done alone and man decide where to plant, the varieties that he will use, the works to be carried out at the vineyard (pruning, fertilisation, type of harvest, etc) and once at the winery its later vinification process.

We can say that even at a minimum , as nature rules, man intervene in the environment to obtain those wines that will reveal the characteristics of the soil that saw them grow and that provide them with their personality.

So when you open a bottle of D.O.Ca Rioja wine, not only drink the wine but also pay attention to its message that will tell you about its land and the care  it has been treated with until reaching your mouth.
