VINE GROWTH CYCLE-FLOWERING AND FRUIT SET
jun 11, 2018
By the end of May beginning of June, when daily temperatures stay between 15-20º, life takes form and the grapevine flowers that are born in a cluster, bloom and wait for fertilization. Wind and insects play the role of pollination and will produce the transformation of the flower into a grape berry, encapsulating the seed, what is known as the “fruit set”.
This process will take from two to three weeks and takes place almost immediately after flowering and we will clearly distinguish the berries where before we had the inflorescences.
The grapevine starts its way to “maturity”.
